Obituary

Frances Ann Kemp, age 61 of the Lamont Community in Springfield, died Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Orlinda from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Williams Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Pendley and Cody Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Williams Chapel Cemetery with Luke Groves, J.R. Merritt, Bruce Bishop, Stewart Harris, and David Harris serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Will Dean, Noah Merritt, and Josh Harris. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home Sunday from 3 until 8 PM and Monday at the church from 9 AM until the hour of service. Mrs. Kemp was born July 13, 1952 in Robertson County to the late John William and Frances Marie Wilson Harris. She was a homemaker and a member of Williams Chapel Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, church clerk, and a member of the Historical Committee. She is survived by her husband, Isaac Kemp of Springfield; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie and Vicki Harris of Orlinda; sister, Wanda Sue Spivey of Springfield; step-brothers, Lee Allen Pearson of Springfield and Jackie Pearson of Greenbrier; step-sisters, Susie Williams and Glenda Williams, both of Springfield; nieces, Sue Anne Dean, Cecilia Smith, Clarinda Merritt, and Danielle Miller; and nephews, John Robert Merritt, David Harris, Stewart Harris, Jason Harris, and Josh Harris.
The family request memorial contributions be made to the Frances Kemp Memorial Fund and sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
