Jerry Wayne Jackson, age 43 of Cross Plains, died Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Orlinda from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 4:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Plains Cemetery with James Aaron Jackson, Anthony "Andy" Jackson, Cleveland Jackson, Billy Brake, Steve Stark, and Ronnie Jones serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are T.J. Petek, Mike "Stoney" Stone, B.J. Brooksher, Kevin Stark, and Paul Silvage. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2 until 8 PM and Tuesday from 1 PM until the hour of service. Mr. Jackson was born May 22, 1970 in Simpson County, KY to Pat Hughes Jackson and the late Gene Jackson. He was worked at Central Steel and was a member of Iron Workers Union Local 492. He also loved race cars and racing. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James Aaron and Leslie Jackson of Orlinda; mother, Pat Jackson of Cross Plains; and grandchildren, Knox William Jackson and Peyton McClung.
