Mable Ann Sawyers, age 70 of Springfield, died Sunday, February 05, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 noon until the hour of service. Ms. Sawyers was born February 20, 1941 in Robertson County to the late Leonard and Nellie Carter Goodwin. She was a member of Keysburg Church of Christ and was retired from Holley Carburator. She was involved with the local Special Olympics and was a member of Eastern Star Red River 188. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Barry Sawyers, and a brother, Russell Goodwin. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, MaryNell Sawyers Mealer and Glenn Mealer of Springfield; son, Jeff Sawyers of Springfield; sisters, Gladys Boisseau of Springfield and Eva Crawford of Barren Plains; grandchildren, Justin Hutchison, Josh Pyle, Ashley Cody, and Glenn Mealer, Jr.; and 6 great grandchildren.
The family request memorial contributions be made to the Area 24 Special Olympics. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
